About Us

Our Mission

The Hawaii Society of Professional Engineers Educational Foundation (HSPEEF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting programs that inspire and develop Hawaii’s youth to build their science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills. We hope to foster the next generation of engineers by providing opportunities for youth in STEM.

HSPEEF began in 2004, with its roots beginning as the educational programs run by the Hawaii Society of Professional Engineers (HSPE). Since 1984, HSPE and later HSPEEF, coordinated MATHCOUNTS math competition for tens of thousands of middle schoolers throughout all of Hawaii, supporting them to the final competition in Washington, DC or Orlando, Florida.
